Post-industrial sites
For over ten years, roughly between 2005 and 2015, I (re)discovered and documented hundreds of huge and derelict industrial sites, experiencing their inherent character as transient heterotopies of post-modernity. Photography dug into their complex and ever changing materiality trying to unveil the physiognomy of such ordinary yet outstanding places. Supported by a thorough background research and a methodical approach to on-site exploration, this very personal documentation project has developed into an endless photographic archive, of which only a tiny part has been revealed to date.
